It was a new year (2004), and I was recovering from TMJ surgery, a bi-lateral modified condylotomy. My jaw bones had been cut, my mouth wired shut, along with lots of physical therapy to re-learn how to use my mouth. In some ways, I was better... but something wasn't quite right. The only way I knew to explain it was that I felt like I was fainting over and over again... ALL DAY LONG! I kept missing parts of my day, and couldn't remember ANY new information. After numerous doctor visits, tests, and scary episodes, I was diagnosed with adult onset epilepsy, complex partial seizures. I was terrified! I was no longer allowed to drive a car, take my kids to the playground, get groceries... or just be by myself! How was I going to be a great wife to my husband and mom to my two daughters? How was I going to to fulfill what I knew was God's purpose for my life? My doctors told me that I would be on medication for this for the rest of my life and that it would never go away.

They were wrong... :)

After my diagnosis in January 2004, my family, friends, and church family had been praying for me and believing God would provide a miracle. Want to know what happened next? On the last Sunday of July 2004, God completely healed me! I no longer needed medication because all my scary symptoms were gone! In one instant... I was no longer dizzy, my hearing was not muffled, no more brain fog, no more fear... I even knew my new phone number (we had moved earlier that year)!

Guess what... this past July, I celebrated nine years since the day God healed me! I'm so thankful to have my life back, and I look forward to seeing his purpose unfold for me and my family! I get to see my dreams fulfilled for my family and ministry!

God can do anything... just like the miracle I experienced in my own life, God has miracles for you, too! He has a plan and purpose for your life! My prayer for you today is that you will realize how much HE loves YOU, and that you can trust HIM today with your hopes and dreams... for every area of your life!
